Book Review: Fifteen Hours by Mitchel Scanlon

and another book finished . . .

This series of imperial Guard novels is really rather good on the whole.

Fifteen Hours follows the story of an new imperial Guard trooper or 'new fish' as they are called in this case. He is on his first deployment and it about his struggle to survive longer than the average life expectancy of new recruits which is 15 hours.

This story shows a different side to the Imperial Guard.  That of incompetent command, under resourced guardsmen, but they are still brave and resolute in the face of the xenos  scum.

This is only a short story but a good and enjoyable one. Their are a variety of interesting characters and it shows a darker side to the Imperial Guard.

Now on to the next one: Deathworld.

Hewkers Out.
